I've known Tyler since I was little. He may not even remember that. His was one of those families where I watched him grow up through family Christmas cards every year, awkward Japanese teacher reunions (his mom taught over there with my mom, I think), and a couple weekend trips our family made out to visit his family. He was always just enough younger than me, that I always thought of him as the sweet little guy.
I first remember Abby from a Family Camp. She eventually moved to our city to go to college, and I was finishing college as she was coming in. I remember having the thought every time I was around her that I knew we'd be really good friends if we ever got to hang out.
When Abby and Tyler asked me to shoot their wedding, I don't know what I was more excited about...to get to shoot their day, or to have a good excuse to hang out with them! Either way, I felt like their engagement shoot just flew by as it was just like hanging out with my good friends. At one point, Abby said, "I wish we lived by each other so we could be friends in real life!"...I couldn't agree more, Abby! So, here's to being real-life friends!!
The whole morning, I just kept saying, "Just keep doing that! Perfect!"...they made my job SO easy...literally.
