Ireland: Day 1+2

"Having to try to capture the beauty of Ireland is kind of like having to capture the beauty of Heaven...I'm not sure how to do that." - Me.

I was frustrated all week feeling like I wasn't getting any good pictures...now that I look at it I have two thoughts:
1. My pictures turned out better than I thought I was getting but,
2. They still can't capture the feeling and what it was like to stand there.

However, a picture is still worth a thousand words, so I'll spare a lot of ramblings and show you the pictures for those of you who haven't seen them on facebook.

Quick Sidenote: It's going to take me a while to post all the pictures, but will here are the first 2 days.

This was the city center of Dublin...even their largest city had a very quaint feel to it.

An Irish flower/trinket shop owner reading the paper....just another day on the job! :)
These were bikes you could rent to ride around the city...I notice that bike riding is very big over in Ireland!
There are waterways running all through Dublin.  This was just one spot that caught my eye...one of many. :)

This was just another view of that same water way, just shot from a different angle.
Dublin had beautiful parks, and this was one that we stumbled into on our walk back to the townhouse we were staying in...

Leslie said, "It's easy to see why so many legends and myths come out of Ireland, 'cause they're so easy to believe here...everything feels magical like a fairy tale"...I completely agree!

We were always on the look out for coffee shops and free wi-fi!
This was the Pembroke Townhouse that we stayed at the first night...they had really cute decorating!

We called her our Wee Baby Blue Lassie...she was grand!
Loved the architecture.

We fell in love with this Cafe&Deli called, ArtiZan...they had the BEST breakfast and blueberry muffin!!! I'd fly back to Ireland just for that!
The famous blueberry muffin...well, famous in the lives of Leslie and myself!

Tea was to me what Guiness is to everyone else in Ireland!...a staple.

Fresh Lime Cordial at the front desk of the Pembroke Townhouse
Pembroke Townhouse...I'd highly recommend it! Super cute!

Pembroke Street...we spent a lot of time walking up and down this path.
Day 2...we drove Kinvara where we came upon a small castle near our Bed & Breakfast (B&B)

The thatched roofs were to die for...sooooo cute!  I was brimming with inspiration for my business!!
The seaside town of Kinvara...I had a really yummy clam pasta that night!!

The "little" castle we explored...

Leslie and I discovered our love of "Sweet Shops" that were throughout the entire country of Ireland...apparently, they knew our love language! :)

Tami, you are right, pictures don't capture the feeling you get standing in Ireland, but your pictures do come pretty close to it! I feel like I am back there now just looking at these and I am planning everything I would do if I ever get to go back someday...

Klarisa :)
