Birthday love

I can't start this post without first thanking all of you for the amazing comments, phone calls, texts, facebook messages, and happy birthday messages through Games with Friends (uhem, Katie!).  I ended the evening feeling quite overwhelmed in a really good way.  So thank you soooo much!!!

Well, I tried my best to document my day...such a great day.

The morning started off with a swim (which was NOT documented on camera!) and then I headed to One World Cafe to meet my good friend, Alison, and her baby girl! It was an absolute delight!!  Breakfast was followed-up by an iced latte (my current drink of choice)!

After Starbucks, I headed to Tanner's Orchard where I just walked through the orchards, breathed really deeply as I smelled the burning wood from the fire-pit and the faint hint of fall time apples...
It was the perfect fall day...
I was sure to stock up on some really fun gifts...and I promise, not all the doughnuts and carmel corn are for me...just some. :)
That evening, my cousin Tara hosted a birthday dinner for Heidi, Whit, Annie, and me (my sister Rebekah couldn't make it 'cause she was on a fun Chicago adventure with her daughter)...

I should have guessed she'd go above and beyond when she asked me the other day what foods I like.  Trying to think of something easy for her to make, I exclaimed that I LOVE haystacks!!  To which she replied..."Um, I was thinking more like courses...like lobster bisque.  Haystacks don't go with my theme. :)" Haha!!  Later that week she texted me asking what I like for dessert and said, "If you tell me Sweadish Fish, I'm going to have to stop asking you!" :)...

So, when I walked into her house and saw all the balloons with their ribbons...it was seriously sooooo pretty!!!

I walked into the kitchen to see that she and Whit had made a popcorn bar.  Now, it's fact that I LOVE popcorn.  It's also fact that I used to eat it about every night (now it's about 3 times a week)...so it was perfect!!! She even had little treat bags with my initial...
The popcorn bar consisted of 5 flavors both sweet and savory...y-u-m.
And then there was the table...it was beautiful!! I almost felt like I was at a wedding reception...must be the wedding photographer in me.
I LOVED how everything just felt soooo girly and feminine!! I know that she was going for a vintage, almost victorian theme...but I kept feeling like Audrey Hepburn should have been invited to dinner.  It was so incredibly fun to see it all!!!  I'm still in awe even as I'm writing this...
We even had menus, place cards, and fancy napkins! :)

And the food was divine...thanks to Whit, Tara, and Heidi for the amazing meal!!!

Me with my dinner dates (clockwise: Whit, Tara, Heidi (and Whit), and Annie).
I am fully aware that I don't deserve all the spoiling and pampering...it was seriously such a refreshing day and breathtaking evening.  I am the luckies of girls to be surrounded by such wonderful people all day with all the birthday wishes and those who spent parts of my day with me.

My heart is overwhelmed.  What can I say?

Thank you. Seriously, Thank you.
