With Love...

A lot of you have asked about Japan and our families over there...

- Was your Dad or Rika in Japan when the earthquake hit?

No.  They are both here in the States and were here when the earthquake and Tsunami hit Japan.

- How is your family and Rika's family over in Japan?

They were not injured by the earthquake or the Tsunami.  As of now, they are all safe!

Of course, there is a huge sense of relief that our family is safe! But, my heart breaks for Japan...like many of you, I think of it every day.  There are friends, neighbors, people we grew up with that I don't know if they are safe or not because we have lost contact over the years...but I think of them and ache to know they're okay.  It's difficult to see my country in such pain and disaster and it seems so far away.

Thanks so much to each of you for even thinking of our family!  It's been very touching and kind for everyone who has asked and prayed for our family and the Japanese people!!  Many thanks and love for that.
