With that said, I want to be real about my shoots and share some of the not-so-ideal things that happened because I think it makes the story behind the shoots more interesting and real!
So, with that, here's my first wedding of 2011, Kent and Holly...
I LOVE this shot of Holly...there's something about her expression that makes me keep staring at this image. In fact, when I was working on this picture, I just had to text her and tell her how cute I think she is!
Holly and her hairdresser, Summer, working on the last details of her hair.
First look...
Eyes like Holly's are a photographer's dream...
Kent...just so dang cool.
Lucky for me that all the girls were naturals! I think they all look beautiful.
Now, the building that we shot in was super artsy and fun! It offered a lot of diversity...the only problem is that all my shots were coming out really yellow, and last I checked jaundice is not the look that's in. We couldn't really go outside because it was snowing, so we found random corners and hallways like the one below to shoot in! Thanks guys for running all around the Goei Center with me!
You all almost look intimidatingly good...if you weren't such a crazy bunch of guys, you'd have me fooled.
Okay, so it was FREEEEEEEEEEZING outside when we took this shot!!! It had to be in the negatives with a pretty gusty wind. Now, keep in mind, I'm wearing a winter coat, and I was thinking this...and check out those bridesmaids with their sleeveless dresses!!! Seriously, I'd never been so freezing cold during a shot and I yelled out, "Okay, just act like you're on a really hot beach somewhere!!!"...I'd like you to take notice of the girls...I'm still amazed by them!! You are all amazing in this shot!!!
The dessert table that I almost died for...soooo cute. I think I took about 80 shots of this table...if you could be in love with a photo opportunity, that's what I was.
Okay, so here's my not-so-ideal behind-the-scenes moment for you...see that guy covering up most of Kent?! Yep, he was in every picture of them walking out...thank goodness Kent is about a foot taller...and thank goodness that the guy looks like he's loving the moment. Makes for a happy picture at least! :) That's called bad directing on my part.
Kent and Holly...it was a beautiful wedding, and when I was done shooting your day, I thought to myself, "I really love my job"...and that's thanks in large part to the two of you!!! All my love to you.
For a few more images from the day, you can check out this video...
