Mark + Aubrey {Just 'Cause}

I could tell from the start that it was going to be an ode to the city.  Mark + Aubrey used to live in downtown Chicago, and even though they've moved to the suburbs, it was clear their heart was still in the streets, the architecture, the sites, the feel, the memories they shared in that city...

As we walked around, they told me about how they met...their life, their kids...future plans.  I love these sessions for so many reasons...but one is that at this point, they've walked life together.  I really do love watching the beginning stages of love...but there's something very profound about love that carries a certain knowingness to it...I hear sentences but they know the history.  That excitement that comes with dressing up and the nervousness with being "forced" (by me) to kiss in public even though people are watching is always very cute for me to see.

Their love goes beyond just liking each-other...but their is an even deeper love, a camaraderie...because he is the father of her children...and she is the mother of his babies.  There's something about it that really touches me in a very non-cheesy but genuine and real way...

Thanks for walking around the city with me.  For letting me into a small part of your world.  For introducing me to your version of Chicago.  I loved it...
I'm excited to see what the future holds for you two...for both the big and little steps you anticipate. It was an honor...it really was.
