Sister Day

It's how traditions are made, and we're determined to keep this one.  October 7th is my mom's birthday, and we thought it would be a good excuse to take that day to celebrate her and each other with a "Sister Day".  I'm a girl who loves traditions, and this may be my favorite yet.

Yesterday, we went to Indianapolis for the day...it was filled with some shopping, a lot of talking, laughing, and...more talking.  I'm not sure how we never run out of conversation...but that's the mark of best friends, I'd guess.

One of the best parts of the day was getting to have dinner with one of our dearest friends, Jodi.  She is one of those friends where you can pick right up...you know, the best kind of friendship.  Her beauty is literally just the smallest expression of what's inside and I am a bit in awe every time I'm with her that we get to claim her in our lives!! The thing that was extra special is that when Jodi would hang out at our house back when she lived near us, she was just as much my mom's friend as ours.  There is something really special about those who remember her as their friend, and my mom always just adored Jodi.

(L-R: Me, Rebekah, Jodi, and Heidi)

Such a fun evening at Maggiano's!

Rebekah was a sport and brought her baby of only weeks on the day!!

As I look at this picture, I can't help but think of all the things we've been through as sisters...both hard and amazing...and there aren't any other two people I'd have chosen than these two to have at my side.  They are truly the best and I am the most splessed of all...

Another successful trip with my sisters...and now Jodi!! :)  All my love to them.

Your sweet Mom would have been so happy to know that you and your sisters have remained so close to one another. What a blessing! Your dear Mom was one, special lady and we miss her too!

Love,

Love!! Each one of you are so special. And, I have to ask, did you plan you plan your outfits, or was the coordination just a "sister" thing. :)
