I'm the least fun person on Election Night...

I tend to get invited to Election Night parties because it's a well known fact that I'm very interested in politics...but I turn them down each year because, it's also a well known fact that I'm the least fun person on Election Night.

I pretty much sat in that exact position all night as I watched the results for each state come in.  I popped a bowl of popcorn that I never touched...so this morning I ate stale popcorn for breakfast.  Who wants to join me in 4 years for my next Election Night Party? :)
...Don't everyone jump at once.

I well remember our political talks while hand pollinating corn in the good ol fields. And I know we didn't always see eye to eye:). I'm gonna venture to say we were like minded in this election though..love ya!

Tam, you and I should just do these parties together because I was sitting in the same pose all night...I didn't eat anything and I bawled like a baby when it was over. How's that for a fun party guest!? We'd make a very good pair because we would both know exactly how the other was feeling without saying a single word. Poor Matt would probably have prefered I'd just gone downstairs and sat with you. :)

I went to bed...so I think that makes me less fun than you. :)

i'm with em, and i'm sort of amazed that you can sit and watch it and not go crazy!! made me so nervous for the part i was up for.

Oh Tam, I love that picture!! And I'm going to have to turn down your invite for 2016...I chatted incessantly through the small part we watched about how nervous I was and how annoyed I was at the news people. Then I went to bed because I couldn't handle it. I treasure our friendship too much to put you through that!!

I think it would be fun to have an election party cause I love to hear what everyone is thinking about what is going on. I sat and watched almost all of it. The minute I heard who won I shut it off and went to bed.....then I woke up this morning very very concerned for the lost!!! I don't want to get into to much detail but I think time is short!!

I agree with Sandra. Two thoughts were going through my mind this morning - "those who will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution" and "When you see these things happening, lift up your head, for your redeption is near."

You and Brian would have a good party, as he sits and watches it like you do. It stresses me out too much to watch, so i, like Em, went to bed, and, like Shar, feel nervous, so don't like to watch it.
Brian can be "up" on all the news and generally feels "ok". i listen rarely, but even at that, and even with the assurance that God is in control and totally believing that, cried this morning. i am just not good with mega-doses of news. (Sorry to post a novel)
