James + Amanda {Proposal}

I was impressed...to say the least.  He'd thought out every detail of this night, and if it went off like he'd planned, James + Amanda were going to have an unforgettable night.

It was a beautiful Saturday night in Chicago with the perfect bite of coldness in the air to remind you why Christmastime in the city is almost magical.  James took Amanda to Gibson's Steakhouse under the guise of having a night to reconnect after a busy Thanksgiving weekend...

Amanda had no idea that he had sooo much more planned, so when there was a special silver box in the middle of an appetizer plate of oysters, you could see on her face that she knew something was going on...

He even got down on one knee as she started to cry and popped her the question...

...I couldn't hear how he asked her, but I'm pretty sure I heard her say, "Of course!"

It was really sooo sweet...

...the entire restaurant even cheered.  It was pretty fabulous, I must say!

James + Amanda...

This box has special significance to Amanda as it was a gift from her mother last Christmas and she was to write her wish for what she wanted the following year...it looks like she got her wish!

Following the proposal, he took her upstairs to a room a surprised her with a room filled with the people closest to them...

Including her mother who is obviously very close to her.

What an incredibly amazing night!! I was beyond excited to get to shoot this night and watch such a beautiful couple get engaged!! Congratulations, a thousand times over!!  I'm truly thrilled for your future and know this is just the beginning!!
