Roses with English accents...

During this time of year, things get a little crazy and busy...but when Tara told me about Two Blokes and a Bus, I knew this was a "take time to smell the roses" moment.

A couple years ago, I'd watched a show on food trucks, and it's been on my mind to eat at one ever since.  For those of you who aren't familiar with food trucks...it's basically a little restaurant on wheels...except normally, you don't eat inside of them.  They're found in larger cities like New York, Chicago, Dallas, LA, etc.  and there's somewhat of an underground culture (I've heard) of people that eat at food trucks.  They move around so usually, you have to either follow them on Twitter or Facebook to know where their location is for the day.  There are bloggers that write about different food trucks, and I've heard you can get some pretty amazing food at them.

Starting last year, I make a to-do list on my birthday for that year.  I'm not sure that I qualify as a legitimate 'foodie'...but I do love to experience good food...so needless to say, eating at a food truck made my list this year:

However, because it's a "big city" thing, I just thought I'd do it when I was in Chicago or out in California some time.  However, recently, two guys in my very own dear city (I LOVE my hometown by the way...shout out to Bloomington-Normal!!!), started a food 'bus' called Two Blokes and a Bus It's a double-decker bus and they serve street food...and what's extra special about this food truck is that the top level is where you can sit and eat!! One of the guys has an English accent which, of course, makes the whole "blokes" thing completely amazing! :)

So, Tara and Katie went with me to cross off a bucket list item...

Our table-mates...and you can see, it's a bit crowded, but it adds to the fun experience of it all...and notice my Ah-MAZING fish tacos!! Yum!!
So, sometimes 'roses' smell like tacos and have an English accent...but I think it's important to always make time to fulfill dreams.  Thanks so much girls, for doing a little rose-smelling with me yesterday!! Love ya. :)
