The Manual Workshop I & II: Update
I had a plan B: If no one signs up for my workshop, I guess I'll call my sisters, Tara, and Whit and ask them to come. If they won't come, maybe I'll just "postpone it"...like indefinitely.
So when I posted that I was hosting a workshop, I checked my phone about every 2 minutes bracing myself for crickets. But you...yep, EACH ONE OF YOU...names I'd never even heard of, overwhelmed me with your response.
I'll be honest, I think I was prepared for failure...for plan B. I wasn't prepared for plan A. I really wasn't. The first class filled before noon that morning...thanks to all of your love. That's honestly all I heard from you...love.
By noon, we started talking about adding a second class. I wasn't sure I'd have enough people to fill a second class. But again, you came through...and we have enough. Honestly, I kind of want to just keep opening more and more classes, but I have to put a hold on it...if you've contacted me and haven't heard back yet, please have patience with me!! I've tried to reply to each person, but am still working on getting back...and for those on the "waiting list" (what?!?!...how am I even writing this?!) there will be another one planned.
I just wanted to update all of you, but more than anything, I just want to say thank you. Thank you. THANK. YOU.
Shame on me for not believing in Plan A. Shame on me. I should have guessed that you'd all have my back...you did. So, please know that I can't even begin to tell you what it means to me...
My love.
Tami

The Manual Workshop: February 23, 2013
I can't count the times someone has said to me,
"I wish I could hire you to teach me how to use my camera!"
You're saying, "I don't know how to use all the settings and functions"...but what I'm hearing is,
"I want someone to teach me as simply as they can, how to take a good picture!"
...well friends, I heard you!!
On February 23, 2013, I will be hosting my first workshop!!
I'm announcing this now because this could be a great Christmas gift idea to give someone...
or while you're asking for a new camera, you ask for this workshop as well!
Just a thought. :)
...I've had a lot of wives say they want to send their husbands, so don't think this is for women only!
Who is this workshop for?
Anyone is welcome!! If you're someone who enjoys taking pictures but you want to take your images to the "next level", this would be perfect for you! You know there's more to your camera than shooting in auto, and you feel frustrated in wanting to do more? You should definitely join us!
What will I need?
You'll want to make sure that you have a DSLR camera as (by the name) we'll be spending a large part of the workshop learning how to shoot manually and manipulating light to produce beautiful images. If you don't have a DSLR camera and want to come just learn for when you do buy your camera, or you want to learn how to compose a shot, then you can still come!!
When is it going to be?
February 23, 2013: 10a ~ 3p
