Tasty Tales with Tami & Alison {August}

 It's time for another restaurant review which is now being called, "Tasty Tales with Tami"...thanks for the name, Bek!

I had planned to meet my good friend from college, Alison, at Busy Corner in Goodfield, IL so I thought, "What a great restaurant and company to do a Tasty Tales post!"  So, Alison agreed to be my dinner date...and it was a great night!  I think we sat there for a good 3+ hours as we ate, talked, laughed, and took pictures of the yummy food!

We asked the waitress what The Busy Corner is known for...she recommended the Signature Sandwich with the waffle fries at a great price of $7.25, which Alison got.  For me, she told me that the Hot Beef Sandwich ($8.45) was "The best in the surrounding 3 counties".  Now, I don't know about the surrounding 3 counties, but mine was de-licious!  It's not something I would have normally ordered, but I was not disappointed with it!  Alison said that her sandwich was very juicy and the fries were great!  The prices were great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is one where you can just sit and talk for hours...which we did!

The service was great...very friendly staff, and our food came out very quickly!

Busy Corner is known for their pies, so Alison and I finished up our meal by splitting a Coconut Cream pie which the waitress exclaimed, "Is almost as good as my grandma's!"  I'll be honest...I'm not a big pie fan, but I could have eaten the entire piece myself!  Yum!
Overall, it was a great experience, and you could go on Alison and my recommendation!

Thanks Alister,
for the great night and being such a great dinner date!!!  It was a blast being with you...as always. :)

I can't believe I still have never been to Busy Corner! I always loved the look of the old establishment...when you'd drive by and wonder, "HOW in the world are all the people from those cars actually fitting into that place?!?"

Alison's answers were so funny...especially "vat"!!

What fun!! It's fun to see Alison also! Busy Corner is always a good place and a great meeting place between Bloomington and Peoria. They are actually noted for great fried chicken but we raised you kiddos on boneless, skinless chicken breasts so you probably do not appreciate good old fried chicken! That was a fun post and a great place to eat!!

I have met people so many times (at least 20...not exaggerating), at busy corners that you'd think i have eaten there, but I don't think I have. I even sat while people ate...I was meeting them and they were finishing their meal. Very fun post!
