Jeremy + Jennifer {Wedding}

She'd planned a lot of events in the past...

...she's quite good at it. :) But this wasn't just any event any more...it was Jeremy + Jennifer's day.

There were details that only someone like Jenny would have thought of...there was a fun vintage flare to their day...but what stood out to me wasn't all the beautiful details (although, as a photographer...you know I LOVED every. single. one.)...

It was the way Jeremy talked about Jenny when she wasn't around.  It was how Jenny looked at him when he was talking.  It was how easily her parents laughed together...how her sister pointed out her own husband to me and said, "He's the really good looking one".  It was the way Jeremy's dad talked to his son...it was a day filled with relationships that interacted in a profound and priceless way...

I've learned a lot about relationships as a wedding photographer...and the more I observe, the more I come to know is that genuine love is the easiest and most beautiful to capture.  It is.  Simple as that.  People often tell me that they're not photogenic...but the truth is, everyone is photogenic...it's just knowing when to click to capture that genuine moment...

As Erin Moody (my roommate and 2nd shooter for the day...thanks Erin!!!) and I shot this wedding, I could not only see through my lens, but I felt all those moments deeply and just kept praying I was catching the beauty that was in the air that day.

Jeremy + Jenny...
I adore you both.  I really do.  You had a beautiful day in so many ways...and I was honored to be a part.  You've got this...this marriage thing. :)  In fact, Jenny, when I talked to you on the phone recently and you said, "Marriage is even better than I'd expected! It's great!" I absolutely believed you because I knew you two would be "good at marriage".  I'm excited for your future and am excited for that Anniversary shoot!
